Match Report from Connel Sellman: The boys battled hard in wet conditions today and came through as 2-1 winners against a decent Henley team who beat us 3-1 earlier in the season. We started on the front foot and eventually got the lead with a great individual goal from Rowan Sellman. The game evened out towards the end of the first half although Henley were restricted to only one good chance in the first half. The second half was a more open affair with chances at both ends. We eventually went 2-0 up when our burly centre forward Harry James bullied their defence at a Rory Milne corner with a towering bullet header that nearly reached the back of the net. After that we began to struggle partially because one of our players was only managing to hobble around with an injury. Henley did pull a goal back but we continued to battle and held out for a win. A special mention to Callum Marques in goal and Noah Towers-Goodman, Will Howarth, Billy O’Brien and Harry Willett in defence who were all magnificent. Their coach spoke to me afterwards and said that our defence had been the different. Man of the Match goes to Billy O’Brien for an excellent performance in a position he doesn’t often play but all eleven played extremely well. We should all be proud of our boys today. It was our best all round performance for some time.
