Welfare of Players

Every child and young person who plays football should be able to participate in an enjoyable and safe environment and be protected from abuse. This is the responsibility of every adult involved in football.

Maidenhead Boys & Girls Football Club recognises its responsibility to safeguard the welfare of all children and young people by protecting them from physical, sexual or emotional harm and from neglect or bullying. It is determined to meet its obligation to ensure it provides football opportunities for children and young people do so, to the highest possible standard of care. Clear practices and procedures are in place to ensure that everyone knows exactly what is expected of them in relation to the protection of children and young people within our sport.

If any parents, players or coaches have any concerns they can raise issues with the club welfare officers or through the welfare email (private email account accessed only by welfare officers).

This can be something that has taken place either online or in ‘the real world’, or both. The CEOP Safety Centre has clear information and advice on what can be reported to CEOP, the reporting process and what will happen if you do decide to make a report. You can visit the CEOP Safety Centre and make a report directly to CEOP by clicking the Click CEOP button.
