MARLOW TOURNAMENT – SAT 02JUN – AT GREAT MARLOW SCHOOL

The U11 Girls age group took place on Saturday afternoon which had turned into a hot afternoon so plenty of sun cream was required and shade was sought out.

The format was 2 groups of 4 teams with the winners and runners-up going through to the Semi Finals.  The games were on the astroturf on the pitch named “Anfield”.  Games were 12mins duration.

The team consisted of:  U11s  Sofia Lacey, Emily McMaster, Laila Knowles, Georgina Evans and U10s Amy Martin, Sophie McMaster and Ellie Godleman (but Amy had to leave before the end)

Game 1 v Marlow Youth B (in blue) – Won 3-0 with goals from Emily McMaster, 2 of which she scored with awesome headers

Game 2 v Penn & Tylers Green (blue & white stripes) – Won 2-0 with goals from Emily McMaster, 1 of which was a penalty

Game 3 v Farnham Royal – Won 2-0 (both Emily McMaster)

Game 4 – Semi Final v AFC Reading (turquoise and black) – Won 1-0 with goal from Emily McMaster – another header

Game 5 – Final v Penn & Tylers Green (blue & white stripes) – Won 1-0 with goal from Sofia Lacey

Maidenhead were the Tournament Winners! Go Maidenhead Girls….not even one goal conceded!!!
